For the past 15 years the Kathleen Sutton Fund has been providing assistance to help defer transportation costs for women living in Kitsap, Jefferson, Clallam, and Mason counties and helping them with the financial burden of getting to and from cancer treatment appointments. Since transportation costs are not covered by insurance, the Katherine Sutton Fund pays for gas, ferry fees, parking, bridge tolls and other transit tolls. In 2016 alone, the Katherine Sutton Fund assisted 93 women and distributed a total of $73,000.

A Loyal Partner Beyond Banking

Each year, the Kathleen Sutton Fund hosts an annual auction to raise funds. We are asking for your support for this much needed cause. Liberty Bay Bank has been a steadfast supporter of the event since 2009. Their community-oriented approach extends beyond fiscal sponsorship: a committed group of Liberty Bay Bank employees volunteer before, during, and after the auction. “They take their time off on a Saturday to help us,” Vivi-Ann explains. “They really work hard and are so dedicated to the fund. For that the Kathleen Sutton Fund is extraordinarily grateful. They have become really faithful friends.”

This year, the Kathleen Sutton Fund Annual Auction will be held on Saturday, September 30 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Vista Pavilion in Port Gamble. Without your support, the Kathleen Sutton Fund would not be here to help these women in need.
